🌿 When Compassion Becomes a Calling: Lessons from Nehemiah 1:2–4 Bible Text: > “When I heard these words, I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.” — Nehemiah 1:4 (KJV) 💔 The Moment that Changed Nehemiah’s Life Some messages don’t just reach your ears—they reach your soul. When Nehemiah received the heartbreaking news about the condition of Jerusalem, everything around him stopped. His heart broke. The once-glorious city of God lay in ruins—its walls torn down, its gates burned, and its people living in fear and disgrace. Even though Nehemiah lived far away in the comfort of the Persian palace, his spirit was tied to the pain of his people. He didn’t ignore what he heard or say, “That’s not my problem.” Instead, he sat down, wept, mourned, fasted, and prayed. That reaction was not weakness—it was divine sensitivity. It was God stirring his heart to act. 🌿 The Context of Nehemiah 1:2–4 Nehemiah was serving as the cupbeare...

SIGNS OF HEART ATTACK

Signs of a Heart Attack: What You Need to Know; Heart attacks often strike without warning, but your body sends signals that should never be ignored. Recognizing these signs early can save your life or the life of someone you care about. Here are six key signs of a heart attack: Chest Discomfort: The most common warning sign. It might feel like pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain in the center of your chest. It may last more than a few minutes or go away and come back. If you experience this, seek help immediately. Shortness of Breath: Difficulty breathing or feeling winded even without exertion is a red flag. This can occur with or without chest discomfort and is a sign your heart isn't getting enough oxygen. Pain in Other Areas: A heart attack can cause pain in your arms, back, neck, jaw, or stomach. The pain may radiate, be sharp, or feel like discomfort. Often, it’s mistaken for something less serious, but it should never be ignored. Cold Sweat: Breaking out in a cold sweat, especially when paired with other symptoms, is a common sign. Your body is reacting to the stress on your heart, and this isn’t just regular sweating. Nausea or Lightheadedness: Feeling nauseous or dizzy can indicate that your heart is struggling to pump blood effectively. Women, in particular, may experience this alongside other more subtle symptoms. Fatigue: Unusual or unexplained fatigue, especially in the days leading up to a heart attack, is a warning sign. If you find everyday tasks suddenly exhausting, your heart might be signaling a problem. Take Action If you or someone else shows any of these signs, don’t wait. Call emergency services immediately. Quick action can mean the difference between life and death.
