🌿 When Compassion Becomes a Calling: Lessons from Nehemiah 1:2–4 Bible Text: > “When I heard these words, I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.” — Nehemiah 1:4 (KJV) 💔 The Moment that Changed Nehemiah’s Life Some messages don’t just reach your ears—they reach your soul. When Nehemiah received the heartbreaking news about the condition of Jerusalem, everything around him stopped. His heart broke. The once-glorious city of God lay in ruins—its walls torn down, its gates burned, and its people living in fear and disgrace. Even though Nehemiah lived far away in the comfort of the Persian palace, his spirit was tied to the pain of his people. He didn’t ignore what he heard or say, “That’s not my problem.” Instead, he sat down, wept, mourned, fasted, and prayed. That reaction was not weakness—it was divine sensitivity. It was God stirring his heart to act. 🌿 The Context of Nehemiah 1:2–4 Nehemiah was serving as the cupbeare...

WE WILL NOT FEAR THE TERROR OF THE NIGHT

Heavenly Father, We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your divine protection and blessings as promised in Psalm 91. You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. Today, we rest in the shadow of the Almighty, confident that You will save us from every snare and deadly pestilence. Cover us with Your feathers, and let us find refuge under Your wings. May Your faithfulness be our shield and rampart. We pray, Lord, that we will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. Though a thousand may fall at our side, and ten thousand at our right hand, it will not come near us. We will only observe with our eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If we make You our dwelling place, no harm will befall us, and no disaster will come near our homes. Command Your angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways. Lift us up in Your hands so that we will not strike our feet against a stone. We will tread upon the lion and the cobra, and trample the great lion and the serpent. Because we love You, Lord, rescue us and protect us. We acknowledge Your name and call upon You, knowing You will answer us. Be with us in trouble, deliver us and honor us. Satisfy us with long life and show us Your salvation. Jehovah Rapha, our healer, we ask You to break every tie that binds us—spiritual, family, financial, and health. Let every curse surrounding our homes be broken and fall to the ground. Send Your strong angels with drawn swords to our homes to break all the actions of the enemy, every evil action, and every form of conflict, addiction, and tribulation. Cover our homes with Your blood and anoint us with Your protection. Every illness affecting us, every spirit of illness, we declare under the power of this prayer that it begins to fall to the ground. Deliver us from all snares and traps of the enemy. Protect our homes, our families, and ourselves from the wicked man, stray bullets, assaults, and accidents. Let Your angels accompany us in our coming and going. We declare that we will not stumble, we will not fall, and we will walk in the blessing of the Almighty God. We raise our right hand or place it on our heart and repeat these words: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust." Father, we thank You for the promises of Psalm 91. We claim all the blessings contained within it for ourselves, our homes, and our families. May we be filled with Your peace, provision, healing, and protection. We give You all the glory and honor, and we trust in Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. May you feel the presence and protection of God as you pray this powerful prayer. Share it with your loved ones, and let the blessings of Psalm 91 be upon you and your family. May Jehovah Rapha bless you greatly and powerfully until next time. Amen.
