🌿 When Compassion Becomes a Calling: Lessons from Nehemiah 1:2–4 Bible Text: > “When I heard these words, I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.” — Nehemiah 1:4 (KJV) 💔 The Moment that Changed Nehemiah’s Life Some messages don’t just reach your ears—they reach your soul. When Nehemiah received the heartbreaking news about the condition of Jerusalem, everything around him stopped. His heart broke. The once-glorious city of God lay in ruins—its walls torn down, its gates burned, and its people living in fear and disgrace. Even though Nehemiah lived far away in the comfort of the Persian palace, his spirit was tied to the pain of his people. He didn’t ignore what he heard or say, “That’s not my problem.” Instead, he sat down, wept, mourned, fasted, and prayed. That reaction was not weakness—it was divine sensitivity. It was God stirring his heart to act. 🌿 The Context of Nehemiah 1:2–4 Nehemiah was serving as the cupbeare...

Absolutely! My true story With Psalm 30:3

Absolutely! Here’s how Psalm 30:3 becomes real in my life:

"You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit."

I was in a coma for three days—unconscious, unaware, suspended between life and death. But God was there. He was fighting for me, even when I couldn’t fight for myself.

Doctors may have had their concerns, loved ones may have been praying and hoping, but ultimately, it was God who brought me back. That verse isn’t just something written thousands of years ago—it is my story.

For three days, I was in a place where the living couldn’t reach me. I couldn’t wake myself up, heal myself, or even be aware of what was happening. But God was at work. Just like He did for David, He lifted me from the pit.

Now, every breath I take is proof of His mercy. I have a second chance, a new opportunity to live, love, and share my testimony. My story is not over—God is still writing it.

To anyone who feels like they’re sinking, like there’s no way out—my life is proof that God still saves. If He did it for me, He can do it for you.
