DEAR WOMAN HEAVEN HEARS YOU

Life is filled with moments of joy and sorrow, victories and struggles. But there is a unique and profound cry that comes from the depths of a woman’s soul—a cry that heaven does not ignore. It is the cry of a mother interceding for her child , a daughter seeking direction, and a widow longing for comfort. The cry of a woman carries weight, and in the Bible, we see that God always listens and responds to it.
Hannah: The Cry for a Child
Hannah’s story is one of deep anguish. She longed for a child but faced barrenness for many years. In her sorrow, she went to the temple, weeping bitterly before the Lord. She did not cry out to man, but to the One who could change her situation.
“In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly.” (1 Samuel 1:10, NIV)
God heard Hannah’s cry and blessed her with a son, Samuel, who became a great prophet. This shows us that God does not ignore the cries of a woman who seeks Him with a sincere heart.
Hagar: The Cry of a Desperate Mother
Hagar found herself abandoned in the wilderness with her son Ishmael, with no water and no hope. In her despair, she cried out, and God heard not only her cry but also that of her child.
“God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, ‘What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there.’” (Genesis 21:17, NIV)
God provided water and a promise that Ishmael would become a great nation. This story reminds us that even in the desert seasons of our lives, God sees and provides for us.
The Woman with the Issue of Blood: The Silent Cry for Healing
For twelve years, a woman suffered from a condition that left her physically weak and socially isolated. She had no voice in society, but her faith cried out louder than words when she reached out to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment.
“She said to herself, ‘If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.’” (Matthew 9:21, NIV)
Jesus felt her silent cry, turned to her, and said, “Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you.” (Matthew 9:22, NIV) This is a beautiful reminder that no matter how unseen or unheard we feel, God knows our silent prayers.
Mary Magdalene: The Cry of a Seeking Heart
Mary Magdalene stood outside Jesus’ empty tomb, weeping. She thought she had lost her Savior, the One who had delivered her from darkness. But in her sorrow, Jesus appeared to her, calling her by name.
“Jesus said to her, ‘Mary.’ She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, ‘Rabboni!’ (which means ‘Teacher’).” (John 20:16, NIV)
Her cry of grief turned into a cry of joy. This story assures us that when we seek the Lord, we will find Him, even in our moments of despair.
God’s Assurance to Every Woman
Whatever the reason for a woman’s cry—be it pain, loss, rejection, loneliness, or uncertainty—God sees, hears, and responds. He is near to the brokenhearted and promises to wipe away every tear.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18, NIV)
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4, NIV)
Encouragement for Every Woman Today
If you are in a season of crying out, know that your prayers are not in vain. Just like Hannah, Hagar, the bleeding woman, and Mary Magdalene, your cry reaches the throne of grace. God is faithful. He is your refuge, your provider, your healer, and your comforter.
May your cry be one of faith, knowing that the God who hears is also the God who answers.
Be encouraged, dear woman. Heaven hears you.
